Only had coffee, but it was really tasty. Prices were ok too. It was just a little cold inside

Everything was delicious - and the location is irreplaceable - but everyone in the group (including me) who drank the iced coffee had stomach pains and / or diarrhea shortly after the visit. For € 7.50 (!!) for an iced coffee, the experience was unfortunately a flop. What a shame

Good ice cream, if only the, in my opinion, extremely unfriendly and bad-tempered boss wasn't at the entrance. You can even tell that the staff suffers from their presence. What a shame! It used to be my favorite ice cream parlor in Mannheim ...

Very expensive! Staff not exactly friendly! The main ingredient in the ice cream seems to be sugar, sweet is the only thing you can taste. If you want to go to the toilet, you have to report to the "reception" and then wait at least 10 minutes. Conclusion: I don't have to go back here!

The ice cream was superb! The spaghetti ice cream in particular exceeded my expectations. The prices are set high, but justified in relation to the quality. A spaghetti ice cream in normal size for 8 euros and as a double for 14 euros. On the attached picture you can see my Doppio portion. The strawberry sauce is probably made by yourself. Tasted very natural. The inventor of spaghetti ice cream can still do it!

Somewhat disappointing performance for the high prices. Totally watery ice (types of milk). The waiter was nice, but only partially what was ordered, this was corrected in a friendly manner. And no card payment (although this is mentioned in other reviews).

As expected, creamy-fruity-sweet-seductive. Fine!!!! I'm on the classic road there. Just no experiments with liver pudding, washabi, or anything like that ...

The ice cream was super tasty, with some interesting menu options like fig sorbet.

So I wanted to treat myself to a nice sundae, really with all the trimmings ... and then something. 👎👎👎 The description said: Vanilla ice cream, apricots, apricots soaked in alcohol, apricot liqueur and cream. Cost 11.50 Well, I thought you would treat yourself to that. There were three scoops of ice cream, a dollop of whipped cream, 5 dried apricots drizzled with a little liqueur 😔 The waiter says that's the way it is 👎

Very good ice cream, many types, top service! The staff is always friendly! The ice cream cakes are particularly recommended! They're addicting!

Nice atmosphere but that was it, the ice cream is totally overpriced; 2 scoops of ice cream (if you sit there and want to eat) cost 4.20! And they weren't even whole scoops, and the ice cream doesn't taste much better than at cheaper ice cream shops. The service was semi-nice.

Unfortunately, I should have a very sad experience at Fontanella on August 14, 2020. I'm even still waiting for an email asking for a statement! I would like to tell you about an incident on Friday, August 14th, 2020 at Fontanelle's house. Until now, I've been a fan of your ice cream parlors. I was in town with my son and shortly before your ice cream parlor my son said, "Mom, I have to pee really well". When I spoke to your "receptionist" & asked if my 3J. Son, who is just getting diaper-free, was allowed to go to the toilet for a moment - I only got the answer "No only for customers". I pointed out the urgency (that he is currently diaper-free and really needs it, we like to leave contact details there, disinfect our hands, etc.) - I only got a loud sigh with a wonderful twist of my eyes and again the statement "No, only for Customers". And so we moved away ... I understand that there are many requirements to be met during Corona times & caution is required. But I find the bottom drawer to deny even a toddler the basic need! Apart from the fact that we actually intended to buy an ice cream, I find this approach more than customer-unfriendly! We don't even start with family-friendly people. I don't buy / eat anything from you anymore!

The icecream quality is good but the attitude of the waitress really needs improvement. Refused to get us an icecream on a table because it was just for take away in a very rude manner. Then also refused credit card payment when their credit card machine was right in front of us... not making the experience pleasant at all

Given the price, the portions should be bigger and the service more friendly. For whatever reason, there are ice-cream scoops in the cup at the table, but not in the waffle. One of the employees greeted us nicely at the beginning and said goodbye as we left, but there are a few pluses.

Cappuccino very tasty👍🏽 A little more expensive in price, but with chocolate candy. Size okay. Staff relatively unfriendly. Seating outside and inside.

On the expensive side, 8€ for a spaghetti icecream is a bold price. But this was the best ice cream i ever had in my life. I would've rated as 5 stars if the bathroom was cleaned. Ambiance is nice.

The sundae was a sad pile of misery. For the expensive price, you can really expect more. Didn't taste particularly good, nor was it nicely presented. The portion was also super small. The location is certainly nice, but the ice cream parlor is really bad.

They are the inventors of the Spaghetti Eis. Bit expensive though so take that in consideration

My very first Spaghetti-Eis! :) nice staff and nice food. I thought the place is cosy and fancy at the same time. A little expensive, but I'm okay with paying for the nice, Italian accent and choco heart in my 'cappuccino italiano'! ;) Oh yes, I liked the napkins, haha Grazie!

the place to get spaghetti ice cream. This was totally unexpected and when I was visiting Manheim I found out about this store. I can't believe how good and fun the entire experience was. I can only recommend coming here if you're in town. This is really one of the top ice creams that I ever had

Waited for my train today and strolled a bit through Mannheim. By chance, without knowing it beforehand, I sat down in the "Eiscafé Fontanella" at O4, 5. The ambience makes an upscale impression, separate from the ice cream counter the cake display and coffee station. The service has uniform uniforms, which I personally find to be a great business idea. The cappuccino for € 3.50 is "too expensive" You can ask for two kinds of ice cream for 4.50 euros "Is acceptable". -> but if there were no ice crystals in the ice.

Good flavor variety and vegan options. A bit pricey, but excellent location and efficient staff.

A touch of Italy...

This is the worst gelato and restaurant I’ve ever been to in Mannheim, I asked for sparkling water and the staff pretended they understand English and gave me still water with relatively high price. Their attitude is very disappointing and the gelato itself is too sweet. I am very very disappointed.

Delish Spagetti Ice. It’s a great place to try the Mannheim specialty because they’re the pioneers of the delicacy. Great presentation of whatever you order. The staff speaks Italian which is reassuring. The prices hold true to the location in the center of town meaning they’re on the higher side.

The ice cream was tasty. But small comparable to other ice creams elsewhere. The peak was when we were told to leave the sitting area as the ice cream in cornet is only "to-go". It was after 8 p.m. and there was almost nobody....

It is almost always full, especially on a sunny day, but the cakes are great and so is their coffee. They have so many ice cream cups to choose from it’s a bit overwhelming, but all in all a great experience.
